On 15th December,2022, Barnane NS was a flurry of activity and excitement. The pupils of Barnane and their teachers were busy putting the final touches on the Christmas performances in Drom Community Hall. And it was safe to say, all their hard work paid off!!!
Our first item of the night was a whole school performance accompanied by Avril Kinane. Children from Juniors to Sixth Class played an array of instruments such as tin whistles, accordians, flutes, violins and bells. They also sang beautiful Christmas songs to ease us into our night of festive fun!
Next up was our talented Juniors to Third class with their funky version of the North Pole goes Rock and Roll! What a show!! We couldn’t have been prouder of this bunch. They acted and danced their socks off and sung their hearts out. We spotted a few future Oscar winners for sure!!
After this, we sat back and were thoroughly entertained by another wonderful display of acting, singing and dancing. “It’s Christmas” was indeed an incredible show of talent from an excellent Fourth, Fifth and Sixth class.
A huge thank you to our teachers and pupils for providing such entertaining performances for the community of Barnane and Drom. And of course , another enormous thank you to our angel Brenda for transforming Drom Hall stage and making props fit for the Gaiety Theatre.
Overall we were blown away by the musical talent, singing, dancing and acting and cannot wait for our next show already!!
